CD Launch Enjoyed by All

The launch night for Peter McAuliffe's new CD "Irish and Timless Favourites" on Saturday 5th of June in the Kenmare Bay Hotel was a huge success. The function room was full and Peter was delighted with the support from both local people and those who travelled from a distance to be there.

There was dancing to Southern Pride for about an hour at the start of the night and this included a Set which went down very well with everyone whether they participated or were looking on. Peter then sang a number of songs from the new album and also signed copies of the CD which were available on the night. He was acoompanied by Frank Dayle from Ballyheigue who was fantastic.

The CD was officially launched by Cllr Michael Healy Rae before the night continued with more dancing from Southern Pride. Southern Pride were joined by Joe O'Shea from Coomakilla, Blackwater who played a polka set which went down great with the crowd that filled the floor.

Speaking to the Kenmare News Peter and his wife Kathleen said that they "really appreciated the good wishes from people who were there on the launch night and those who were unable to attend"

They thanked family and friends who helped them on the night and the invaluable advice they got on running the event from the members of the Blackwater Women's Group, Sue Ryan and the staff of The Kenmare Bay Hotel for their great help and advice, Michael Healy Rae for performing the launch, Mike Fitzgerald and the Southern Pride for a grreat performance on the night as well as Frank Doyle who did a great job in backing Peter's singing.

Peter added that he would once again like to express his gratitude to Eddie Lee of Jenny Wren Studios, Lauragh and Frank Doyle for their help and professionalism in making the album along with Frances and Joyce of The Sibin Bar, Lauragh who provided the many cups of tea required during the recording sessions.

"Irish and Timeless Favorites" is available in a number of shops in Kerry including the Sounds Of Music, Kenmare and Hickeys Music Sneem.
